Today, the Redmi brand officially presented the new, budget smartphone Redmi 8. The biggest features of the new eight are the low price and huge battery, 5000 mAh!
Computing power is not the main aspect that pay attention to those interested in buying a smartphone at a price below PLN 500. Still, it's worth mentioning the processor. Redmi chose the proven Snapdragon 439, which was installed in Redmi 7A. A bit strange move because it is a gentle step back, the previous model Redmi 7 had Snapdragon 632.
Two capacity variants will be available for sale:
- 3 GB RAM + 32 GB ROM
- 4 GB RAM + 64 GB ROM
Both models have a microSD card slot to increase the available data space when needed. Time for a screen, Redmi 8 has an 6,22-inch IPS LCD screen with HD + resolution, i.e. 1520 x 720 pixels covered with fifth generation Gorilla Glass.
While consumers do not care about computing power, everyone wants a good camera, after all, the best camera is the one we have with us. On the back of Redmi 8 there is a double 12 + 2 Mpix camera. The main 12 Mpix lens was provided by Sony, namely the IMX363 model. This is the same lens that much more expensive models like Mi Mix 3 or Pocophone F1 have!
The fingerprint reader is located on the back, under the double camera. The battery is enough for 2 days of using the smartphone, because it has a capacity of up to 5000 mAh. Supports 18W charging via USB Type-C socket. It is the perfect smartphone for a child as the first or for a senior who does not need anything more.
Are you waiting for the price? I already present:
- Redmi 8 from 3 + 32 GB, 7999 Indian Rupees, about $ 112, i.e. PLN 440
- Redmi 8 from 4 + 64 GB, 8999 Indian Rupees, about $ 126, i.e. PLN 495
Both variants are now available for purchase on Aliexpress, cheaper i more expensive. This is a global version, officially sold on the international market. There is a charger in the box that matches the Polish sockets.
